Leave Act

The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides you the opportunity to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave in a 12-month period for certain reasons, such as having a baby or caring for a sick family member. You may use your PTO or another form of paid leave, such as Parental Bonding Leave, to receive income during your leave.

To be eligible for FMLA leave, you must have been employed with Light & Wonder for at least 12 months and must have worked at least 1,250 hours in the previous 12 months.

FMLA leave may be taken for the following reasons:

  • Birth of your child
  • Placement of an adopted or fostered child
  • Serious health conditions
  • Caring for a family member with serious health conditions
  • Caring for a military service member with serious health conditions
  • Family member’s active duty
