Disability Coverage
Disability insurance can keep you financially stable should you become disabled and unable to work. It can help provide a sense of security, knowing that if the unexpected should happen, you’ll still receive a monthly income. You are eligible for company-provided Short-Term and Long-Term Disability after six months of service at Light & Wonder.
Short-Term Disability (STD)
- You are eligible to receive STD benefits after you have been disabled for seven days due to an illness or on the day of injury due to a non-work-related accident.
- STD payments will not begin automatically. To begin receiving STD payments, you must submit a claim to Prudential and provide a physician’s certification that you are unable to work. Once your claim is approved, STD payments will begin.
- Benefits end after 26 weeks.
- Replaces a percentage of your eligible income depending on your length of service with Light & Wonder.
- Benefits are reduced by any payments you receive from other income benefits.

Long-Term Disability (LTD)
- You may be eligible to receive LTD benefits after 26 weeks of disability.
- LTD payments will not begin automatically. To begin receiving LTD payments, you must submit a claim to Prudential and provide a physician’s certification that you are unable to work. Once your claim is approved, LTD payments will begin.
- Replaces 50% of your eligible income, up to a maximum of $15,000 per month until you recover or reach your Social Security Normal Retirement Age, whichever is sooner.
- Benefits are reduced by any payments you receive from other income benefits.
Long-Term Disability Buy-Up
- Replaces an additional 10% of your eligible income for a total of 60% of your eligible income to a maximum of $15,000 per month when combined with company-provided LTD.
- If you do not enroll in this plan when you are first eligible, you must provide Evidence of Insurability before the plan becomes effective.
